A note with a shorter afterlife.
Share sensitive text through a link that stops working after one deliberate reveal—or when its time runs out.
What “self-destructing” means here
OneTimeRead deletes the stored encrypted message when a recipient successfully claims it. It does not erase the recipient’s screen, clipboard, screenshots, or any copy they make. Physical storage and backups may also retain ciphertext beyond logical deletion.
Write only what the recipient needs
A recovery code, a temporary instruction, a private detail: keep the note focused and choose 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days. Notes are text only, with a maximum size of 10 KiB. HTML stays text; there are no attachments.
A preview does not reveal the note
The link opens a confirmation page without retrieving the message. Reveal requires a separate action. This prevents normal link previews and crawlers from using the secret just by loading its URL.
Share with someone you trust
The complete link grants access. If the recipient needs a durable record, they must save it after reveal. If delivery is uncertain, create a new note rather than expecting the old link to work twice.
