Why Zoom needs guardrails

Zoom controls SSO, recordings, billing, and webinar security. Handing out “Owner” rights to multiple people is a recipe for billing surprises and lost data. The fix: scoped roles, MFA, and recording hygiene.

Safe role patterns

• Owner: keep one person only.
• Admin: manage users, groups, and settings—few people.
• Group Admin: manage specific groups only.
• Member: default role for regular users.

Onboarding checklist
